Our First YouTube Video: Introduction To Decorating in Fondant

We are extremely excited to let our readers, visitors and clients know that on March 17, 2010 Chocolate Belles launched our own YouTube channel. We plan to use YouTube to publish some of the videos taken during our cake decorating and candy making classes. We will limit the videos to only the ones containing the most important portions of our classes. And yes we start small. Very small! Our first video is only 26 seconds in length. It shows what are students were about to learn during the first night of the Introduction to Fondant Cake Decorating Course on March 17, 2010. More videos are on the way! If you are an iPhone, Android, BlackBerry or other smartphone user you will like today’s news! We have updated our blog so your visits from these devices will be more enjoyable!

In the past when a cell phone user would visit The Chocolate Belles Blog, he or she would immediately be faced with two major issues. It would take forever for pages from our blog to load, and, due to the small screens most phones have, navigating our blog would have been a complete nightmare.

Today that has changed forever! We are still trying to fine-tune so everything runs smoothly for the visitors who come to our website using their smart-phones. But our websites should be already able to recognize browsers from iPhone, iPode, BlackBerry and several other phones. If you find that your phone is not receiving the mobile version of our blog, please be patient as we will try to accommodate more smart-phones in the future. Of course you can help us out and tell us what kind of phone you use to visit our blog, should you experience any problems with our blog.

The mobile version is available only on our blog and not on our online shop, but we will be working on it as well.

In the past shoppers at Chocolate Belles were required to create an account with us in order to purchase our products. We still strongly encourage to do so, because it gives you an opportunity not only to track your orders but to have multiple shipping addresses associated with your account as well as have an opportunity to subscribe to our newsletter:

However during the last few days some updates where made to our shopping cart and now visitors can check out as guest on our website. What this means that in order to purchase our products you are no longer required to register an account with Chocolate Belles:

While we encourage our clients to create accounts when shopping with us online, there are times however that guest checkout might be necessary. For example if you use computer that does not belong to you while shopping with us and you do not want to let that computer to remember your account credentials by an accident.

As some one who has been involved in setting the original website for Ann, Laurie and Debbie, and now as Internet Marketing Director I was privileged to have access to many candy making and cake decorating classes. Needless to say, I was always inspired by every one of them… Too bad I do not bake!

One of the most surprising things of course usually happens at the end of the class. Under expert guidance of Ann and Debbie, the students end up with some truly exquisite creations. Take for example the pictures from one of the fondant decorating classes:

I can only begin to imagine how many more people, who visit The Chocolate Belles website each day, are inspired by pictures of cakes posted by Ann in the past.

Our regular visitors and subscribers have noticed few changes on our website. Today I would like to take this opportunity and outline the changes that took place. One of the major improvement was made in attempt to separate our blog from the shopping cart of our website while preserving the look and feel of our website.

On our blog we will continue to showcase the cakes we make and share ideas with our readers about cake decorating and candy making. While our shopping cart is the place where our visitors can purchase cake decorating and candy making supplies.

No matter where do you find yourself on our website, the top navigation menu is designed to bring you to your desired destination. Vlad Zablotskyy - Our Internet Marketing Director

Since the start of our website, Vlad Zablotskyy, was instrumental in setting up our website and implementing shopping cart which allowed our visitors shop for candy making and cake decorating supplies right here on our website.

We are excited to announce that Vlad Zablotskyy will represent The Chocolate Belles in our online marketing efforts and initiatives.

Vlad has over 5 years of experience in internet marketing and has spent most of that time as an active affiliate marketer. He has also help the number of small businesses in NJ to promote their products and services on the internet.

We would like to take this opportunity and to introduce Vlad to our regular readers and subscribers. We look forward to work with Vlad on improving our website and look forward to his advise and guidance.
